After landing in Naples, you're just one transfer away from la dolce vita. The most convenient option? A shared shuttle van that takes you straight to the heart of Positano. Alternatively, you can take the train and bus - but that’ll cost you valuable time.

Day 1 – Positano

Colorful houses cascading down terraced cliffs to the sea, the scent of lemons in the air, and winding alleyways – Positano feels like something out of a painting. The perfect start? A stroll through the narrow streets lined with charming boutiques and cafés. Then it’s beach time: whether it’s the main beach, Fornillo, or the quieter Arienzo Beach, everyday life soon feels miles away.

Day 2 – Amalfi

Today, a short ferry ride takes you to Amalfi – one of the true highlights of this trip. Explore the enchanting Ferriere Valley with its tropical plants and small waterfalls. To round off the day, take a ten-minute ferry ride to Duoglio Beach, a peaceful, secluded spot perfect for some quality time away from the crowds.

Day 3 – Coastal Ride

The wind in your hair, the sparkling sea to your left – there’s no better way to experience the stunning coastal road than on a Vespa. With picturesque viewpoints and breathtaking photo stops along the way, you'll want to pause often. Here and there, a cozy café invites you for a quick espresso break. This day is all yours.

Day 4 – Hike with a View

A highlight for hiking lovers: the "Path of the Gods," a narrow trail high up in the mountains. It’s a bit of a challenge, but the views over the sea and coastline are absolutely spectacular, and the trail’s atmosphere is nothing short of magical. In the evening, savor your final dinner in Positano by candlelight with a view of the sea.

Alternative ideas where to stay

For a romantic trip, we like to reduce the hassle of changing hotels. But if you don’t mind, you could also move to Ravello after two days. It’s popular, but definitely quieter than Positano.

Day 5 – Arrival in Capri

Today, a ferry takes you straight to Capri, the glamorous island in the Gulf of Naples. Start your day with lunch at the lively Piazzetta, where you can soak up the full charm of Italian flair. A true highlight is a visit to the Gardens of Augustus, offering breathtaking views of the iconic Faraglioni rocks. If open, take a stroll along the legendary Via Krupp for an extra treat.

Day 6 – Boat Tour

Get ready for a mini odyssey on the water: a boat tour around the island! One of the stops is the Blue Grotto – perhaps Capri’s most famous sight, where sunlight turns the water into magical shades of blue. The tour continues to hidden coves and beaches, where you can enjoy the crystal-clear sea.

Day 7 – Beach Day or Island Summit?

Depending on your mood, spend the day relaxing on the beach with a cocktail in hand or take a short hike up Monte Solaro, the island’s highest point. The panoramic view from the top will leave you speechless: Capri below, the sparkling sea beyond, and a peaceful moment to reflect – a perfect way to savor your final day on this dream island.

Day 8 – Journey to Sorrento

From Capri, a ferry takes you to Sorrento. Explore the historic old town and stroll along Corso Italia, where small boutiques and shops offer the perfect souvenirs to take home. Or visit the Villa Comunale, which boasts a stunning view of the coastline and the sea. Unwind over dinner at one of the many excellent restaurants and enjoy that feeling of having truly arrived.

Day 9 – Pompeii & Mount Vesuvius

The ruins of Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius are calling. After a hike up to the volcano’s crater, continue on to the incredible ancient city – the view over the Bay of Naples and the thought of what happened here thousands of years ago is simply fascinating.

If Pompeii doesn't appeal to you on your romantic getaway, you might want to skip Sorrento altogether and spend more time on Capri or the Amalfi Coast instead. Capri offers a more relaxed and charming end to the trip, though it's also the pricier option. From there, it’s an easy ferry ride back to Naples.

Day 10 – Departure

Today, it's time for the bittersweet farewell to your dream vacation. Savor one last cup of Italian espresso before heading back home – until next time.
