San Marino Ropeway (Funivia)

The cable car that opened in 1959 connects Borgo Maggiore with the old town and covers the distance in just two minutes. From the two cabins, each accommodating 50 people, you can enjoy a wide panoramic view of San Marino, the province of Rimini, and the Adriatic Sea. The facility, which transports around 500,000 passengers each year, was last extensively modernized in 2017 and operates until late at night depending on the season. At the mountain station, you will find the main attractions such as the Basilica of San Marino and the Piazza della Libertà, while a large parking lot is available at the valley station.
